Every woman knows that those few days in a month that we have our periods can be the worst with heavy clothes, headaches, and unbearable cramps. So we’ve put together an all day routine that you can follow to get through these difficult days with ease.

Stick to a light and healthy breakfast that will give you energy but won’t make you feel bloated. Try eating a bowl of fruit or a fluffy egg white omelet. You should also skip your normal coffee or Chai, but instead sip on some soothing chamomile tea that will give you a boost of energy and will help reduce any cramps, too.

Whether you use pads, tampons or a menstrual cup, it’s vital to shower daily and cleanse your body. It will prevent any growth of bacteria, reduce odors, and the warm water will soothe your cramps. A quick shower is the best way to start your day. Feeling clean and fresh.

Your clothes can make or break your day while on your period, so choosing the right outfit is key. A comfy cotton lingerie to start with so that your innermost layer has you feeling your best all day. Loose bottoms with stretchy waistbands like Palazzos and Flowy skirts are your best friend and can be paired with longer tops or could be to hide bloating, too.

If you’re at work, cramps can be frustrating and distract you from your project. Keep a hot water bag with you at work that can be easily filled to help you relax. Or simply fill a metal water bottle with hot water, too. You can also try a roll on pain relief balm infused with menthol that you can reapply every few hours to forget your pains and breathe through your meeting.

Stick to a light lunch of a leafy green salad or something energizing like hummus and vegetables. Stay away from oily, salty or spicy foods, no matter how tempted you are, as they will burst in your cramps and cause bloating.

Although you might feel at your laziest and all you want to do is binge watch some TV shows, a few basic exercises and yoga poses will actually help stretch your muscles, reduce cramps, and help your PMS, too. Try the widelegged child pose in which you sit with your legs folded under you and stretch your upper body and arms forward with your forehead close to the ground and stay there for five minutes, breathing slowly and deeply.

Your skin might feel at its worst with extreme oil, Enos and acne, so we have a delicious smelling mask for you to pamper yourself with. Mix two teaspoons of finely ground coffee with one teaspoon of cocoa powder and one two teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Add in one teaspoon of honey and enough water to make a paste. Apply it for ten to 15 minutes for fresher, glowing skin.

This soothing drinks will help your mind and muscles relax at night, and the turmeric will help reduce cramps, too. Simply mix a spoonful of turmeric in a glass of warm milk and drink up.

Finally, avoid staining your bed even if you’ve run out of extra large pads by overlapping two regular pads on the front and back of your underwear to ensure that you have a comfortable and leak proof sleep and wake up up feeling rested. We hope this routine takes you through the day without letting your period cramp your mood or your style.
